This feature disappeared from the iOS 26.3 beta, Apple apologizes

Updated February 12, 2026: The final version of iOS 26.3 is available.

The engineers behind the third beta of iOS 26.3 certainly did not plan to correct such a bug with their update. While they are testing new features to enrich the user experience on iOS, they have, apparently by accident, deactivated several features such as iPhone screen mirroring, camera continuity or Sidecar.

For now only the iPhone 17 (standard, Pro and Pro Max), iPhone Air and iPad Pro M5 seem to be affected by this bug. We remind you that you must be using a beta version of iOS 26.3 to be affected. There is therefore little chance that the general public will experience these kinds of problems.

In a statement made to the press, Apple claims to have tackled the problem head on. It should be fixed in a future update. Probably the next beta version of iOS 26.3.

What functionalities are affected?

As we quickly wrote above, the features affected by this bug are part of a larger set, called Continuity by Apple. These native solutions allow the user to operate multiple Apple devices together.

One of the best known is Sidecar, which allows you to use the screen of your iPad or iPhone as an external monitor for your Mac. In detail, users of iPhone 17, iPhone Air or iPad Pro M5 can no longer use the iPhone mirroring functionality (reproducing the screen of an iPhone on Mac) nor AirPlay mirroring to an Apple TV 4K.

The option to switch between iPhone and Mac cameras (known as Continuity Camera) is also unavailable. Finally, as we told you above, Sidecar no longer works on the iPad Pro M5.
