Updated December 13, 2025; iOS 26.2 is available for everyone. Our complete iOS 26.2 guide can be found here.
iOS 26.2 is just around the corner. The second RC beta has just been released a few days ago. At the same time, iOS 26.1 took over from iOS 26.0.
iOS 26.1 also arrived with a small batch of new features, but also a slew of bugs, as seen here. Let’s hope that iOS 26.2 corrects the situation, both in terms of malfunctions and in terms of aesthetic and functional improvements.
Exactly, When can we expect the arrival of iOS 26.2 in final version for everyone?
No products found.
As with every update, let’s read Apple’s history of software deployment to predict the future. Also see below what iOS 26.2 should contain according to the first information available to us.
When should it come out? iOS 26.2?
First of all, let’s see how the arrival of iOS 18.2 went last year at the same time:
- beta 1: October 23, 2024
- beta 2: November 4, 2024
- beta 3: November 11, 2024
- beta 4: November 20, 2024
- beta 5: December 5, 2024
- beta 6 (RC): December 9, 2024
- final version: December 11, 2024
The iOS 18.2 testing phase lasted from October 23 to December 11, 2024, or a little less than 7 weeks.
A year later, iOS 26.2 should follow a similar schedule. This is what the launch of this update looks like at this stage:
- beta 1: November 4, 2025
- beta 2: November 12, 2025
- beta 3: November 17, 2025
- beta 4 (RC): December 3, 2025
- beta 5 (RC): December 8, 2025
At this point, 5 beta versions of iOS 26.2 have already been released. iOS 18.2 has had 6 beta versions, so we could expect to see another 1 test version of iOS 26.2. But for one thing, the latest beta available is a second RC beta, which means it should be the very last beta for the system. On the other hand, adding 1 additional beta to the schedule would imply the arrival of iOS 26.2 in final version during Christmas week, which would constitute very poor timing for Apple.
We can therefore bet on the fact that the final version of iOS 26.2 will arrive very soon either this evening or at the beginning of next week, at 7 p.m. in any case.
iOS 26.2: what to expect?
From the looks of it, iOS 26.2 should bring some significant improvements. Improved sleep scores, new Liquid Glass setting for the locked screen, various new features for Apple Podcasts, added alarms for Reminders, among others. We’re also looking forward to live French translation for AirPods.
In short, iOS 26.2 looks more interesting than iOS 26.1. What do you think?
