In the Messages app, since version 14 of iOS, there is an option to bookmarking conversations. This allows you to find at the top of the app the most frequently used conversations, for example, or at least those to which you would like to have quick access. Here’s how to use this feature.
Favorite a discussion in the Messages app
First way to do it: prolonged press
- Long press on the conversation
- Choose “Pin”

Second way: “Modify” option
- Press “Edit”
- Choose “Edit Pins”
- And there, press the pin corresponding to each conversation to favorite

Each favorite conversation appears at the top of the main view of the Messages app. The only drawback of the manipulation is that favorite conversations no longer display a preview of the latest messages.
Unfavorite a discussion in the Messages app
It happens that some conversations are no longer consulted very often. They therefore no longer have any interest in remaining displayed as favorites in Messages. To remove them from favorites, simply follow one of the two following steps.
First way: long press
- Keep a long press on the desired favorite conversation
- Choose “Detach”

Second way: “Modify” option
- Press “Edit”
- Choose “Edit Pins”
- And there, press the “-” icon on each favorite conversation that you want to detach from favorites
