A fairly well-known tip is to change the color and appearance of your folders on your Mac. Blue files are the default, but they are not a requirement. They are easily editable on Mac, but also on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 26 and iPadOS 26.
In just a few gestures you can switch to more original colors like green, red, orange, blue or purple. In addition to changing the color of your folders, you can add icons or emojis in the center of the icon. You will be able to find your favorite folders even more easily.
Customize and optimize
This tool is very useful for customizing navigation within your folders. In addition to the obvious aesthetic aspect brought by such a change, these modifications save precious seconds. Your file is recognizable at first glance.
As a person, the files I consult most often are allowed a particular color. They show up better in the scrum and save me a second or two every day.
