If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the launch of the iOS 26 public beta, it will be happening this week. In any case, this is what Mark Gurman indicated in his famous Power On newsletter on Bloomberg. Let’s take stock.
Anyone can test iOS 26
As our colleague indicates: “Everything indicates that iOS 26 should enter the public beta phase next week (this week, Editor’s note)”. A little later, the journalist clarified to a reader on X (formerly Twitter) that it will probably be around July 23.
Nothing is confirmed at this point, but, if Apple follows tradition, the first public betas of iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, watchOS 26, and HomePod 26 software should be released at the same time as the iOS 26 public beta.
Anyone can sign up for Apple’s beta software program and access public betas for testing. That said, and as MacRumors rightly advises, it is strongly recommended to back up your devices in case of problems.

Still according to Mark Gurman, the Cupertino company will soon officially launch the development of iOS 27 and the latter could accompany the launch of a foldable iPhone by the Apple brand.
What’s new in iOS 26
As a reminder, iOS 26 offers a visual overhaul with the Liquid Glass design and more dynamic icons. Messages now benefit from built-in polls and real-time translations. The photo experience is enriched with a 3D effect on the locked screen.
Apple is also emphasizing artificial intelligence for smart reminders, a modernized CarPlay interface and increased privacy control, while improving battery management.
