Apple had not planned that for iOS 19 (video)

You may recently saw some supposed images of iOS 19. These visuals were shared by Jon Prosser, a videographer who claims that these are internal leaks from Apple. In a first video, he mentioned an in -depth overhaul of the interface, with visual elements largely inspired by the Visionos system of the Apple Vision Pro. He then spoke of completely round icons and a translucent interface, but he nevertheless nuanced his words a few weeks later.

Finally, Apple would have opted for simply more rounded icons, and that certain ideas would have been postponed to iOS 20. According to him, this refocusing would be linked to the delays accumulated by Apple, largely caused by the priority given to Apple Intelligence in iOS 18. Mark Gurman, for its part, has issued reserves on the veracity of these leaks. The analyst says they could be based on an obsolete or incomplete internal version of the system.

This uncertain context did not prevent certain creators from embarking on concepts. This is the case with Central concept, which published on May 21 a video a little over a minute presenting his Vision of iOS 19. The result is moving away from the previous renderings: here, the inspiration seems to come more from MacOS Big on than from Visionos.

Only the future will confirm the management that Apple really taken for its next mobile system. In the meantime, let’s take a closer look at what this concept has in store for us.

If you already appreciate the aesthetics of MacOS from Big Sur, you should hang on to this new concept. Icons gain in depth thanks to a Light elevation effectwhile remaining familiar. You would take advantage of a fresh interface, but without radical rupture with your habits.

The locked screen would also become more practical, displaying for example the remaining charging time When you connect your iPhone. You could also directly adjust the power of your torch or control your times from this screen, which should make your life easier, if this novelty is one day.

In this proposal, widgets become more compact and practical. They take up less space on the home screen while continuing to display essential information, such as the weather. If Apple follows this direction, you could gain in clarity without sacrificing anything on the usefulness side.

The notifications Imessage, they would be more readable thanks to the live activities. Instead of a series of separate messages, everything would appear in real time in a single alert. Finally, a Application dedicated to clipboard could make its appearance. You could easily find your old copy and paste, whether texts, images or links.

Other features that will probably not arrive in iOS 19 have also been imagined in the video, such as being able to watch space videos from the iPhone:

If you are curious to see what iOS 19 will really look like, you will have to wait a little longer. Apple will officially unveil this new version during the WWDC 2025 Keynote, scheduled for next month.

If we are based on previous years, the first beta intended for developers could be available as soon as iOS 19 in June, while public beta could follow in mid-July. The final version is generally launched in September, in parallel with the release of new iPhones, as was the case for iOS 18 on September 16, 2024.

There is therefore only a few weeks left before discovering whether the concept presented by Central Concept comes close to what Apple has really planned.

In the meantime, you can discover or review in detail 10 news already known from iOS 19.
